Growing to Better Serve. Healing to Better Restore.

Rehema Foundation reflects on a life-changing week at the RiverCross Summit 2026

Last week, the Rehema Foundation team had the privilege of attending the RiverCross Summit 2026 in Nairobi, held from June 22–26, 2026. It was a week that stretched us, encouraged us, and reminded us why the work we do matters so deeply.

A Gathering of Hearts Committed to Healing

The summit brought together caregivers, church leaders, social workers, and ministry leaders from across the region, all united by one purpose: to be equipped in trauma-informed, Gospel-centered care for vulnerable children and families.

For five days, we sat alongside others doing similar work — learning, sharing stories, and being reminded that healing is both a science and a sacred calling.

More Than a Training — A Turning Point

For us at Rehema Foundation, this was more than a training. It was an opportunity to:

  • Deepen our understanding of trauma and how it shapes the young lives entrusted to us

  • Strengthen our caregiving approaches, grounding them in both compassion and evidence-based practice

  • Equip our team to walk more faithfully alongside the young girls and babies in our care

We left every session with new tools, fresh language for old struggles, and a renewed sense of purpose. We are excited to apply these life-changing principles as we continue providing holistic care — healing, hope, and restoration — to teenage mothers in crisis.

Gratitude for Partners in the Mission

A heartfelt thank you to RiverCross for investing in leaders and organizations committed to transforming lives. We are grateful for the knowledge, practical tools, and encouragement we received, and we look forward to multiplying this impact within our team and our community.

Training like this doesn't stay with us alone — it ripples outward, shaping every conversation, every moment of care, and every young mother and child we serve.

Looking Ahead

Together, we can create places of healing where every child and every young mother can experience God's love, hope, and restoration.

This is the heart of Rehema Foundation's mission, and summits like RiverCross remind us that we don't walk this journey alone. We are part of a wider community of caregivers, all striving to grow so we can better serve, and to heal so we can better restore.
